The FIG Level 2 Gymnastics Coaching Course recently concluded in Hong Kong earlier this week. This is an initiative by the Federation of International Gymnastics to help coaches around the world understand skills and techniques by FIG experts.. The course is very useful in that it helps coaches and aspiring gymnasts especially from countries where the sport is not so popular in understanding the dynamics of the sport. It is a week long course that ends with a Theory and Practical Exam with passing percentages for each.
This particular course was held for Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics from 11th to the 18th of November. The FIG experts present there included Head Andrea João, WAG expert Andres Gerardino and MAG expert Derick Scholtz.
We are happy to announce that there was a significant number of Indian coaches who attended the course and most importantly all the attendees passed their respective courses with flying colors. The Indian contingent included: Vandita Raval, Rohit Jaiswal, Sukhwinder Singh Saini, Pravin Dhage and Pawan Bhoir.
We congratulate all the individuals and we believe this will only help the future generations of gymnasts in the country to progress!
