Indian Coaches successfully completed FIG Level 1 Coaching Course in Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics

The Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG) hosted its regular Level 1 Academy for Artistic Gymnastics in Singapore from the 22nd to the 29th of June, 2019. From the Indian contingent, on the men’s artistic gymnastics side there was, Suhas Lohar (MAH) and Harish Chauhan (GUJ) and the women’s artistic gymnastics side included coaches Tanuja Gadhwe (MAH) and Sunil Jadav (GUJ) who completed the course successfully. The FIG experts that conducted the course we’re Andrea Joao (course leader), Eric Boucharin and  Andrei Levit.

Similar to the Artistic Gymnastics course, the FIG Level 1 Academy for Rhythmic Gymnastics was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from the 7th to the  14th of July, 2019. The Indian coaches present included Sonali Sawant (MAH), Vinita Mandowara (GUJ), Kirandeep Pabla (DEL), Anuradha (KAR) and Pratibavathi (KAR) who also successfully completed this international coaching course. The FIG Experts were Helena Dias (course leader), Nadya Aleksandrova and Teresa Simas.

We wish to congratulate all the individuals who took the time and effort to complete the course and we believe this will only help the future generations of gymnasts in the country to progress!

 The FIG Academy is a flagship coaching program initiative by the FIG to aid coaches around the world with techniques and a more scientific understanding of the sport. It is conducted under the aegis and supervision of the FIG itself. This FIG Academy helps provide coaching guidance and techniques through a week long course which also includes a test.
