Khelo India School Games is a national level multidisciplinary grassroot games in India for the under-17 years school kids. KISG held at Indira Gandhi Stadium from 31st Jan to 8th Feb. Gymnastics Competition were from 6th to 8th Feb Including Individual All Around and Event Finals competitions for Men's Artistic, Women's Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics. Tired of hearing about the IPL all the time? Come join us for the very first Indian GYMNASTICS LEAGUE. We believe it’s time to make sports like gymnastics popular across the country and showcase the talent of the best gymnasts in India using a new creative concept. The need to develop Indian gymnastics and bring world class infrastructure led us to formulate the Indian Gymnastics League. The competition will be held in Mumbai at the Prabodhankar Thackeray Krida Sankul in Vile Parle (E) from the 1st to the 3rd of December, 2017. IGL competition is conceptualized and will be hosted in memory of Mr. Ramesh Prabhoo, Ex Mayor / MLA who had envisioned to create several successful sports people from his incubation centre, PTKS complex. The World Gymnastics Championships were held earlier this year in Montreal, Canada from the 2nd to the 8th of October. The first championships held after the post Olympic year is one where there is no team competition. Gymnasts must contend for individual event and all round medals. Every country is permitted to send a delegation of four female and four male gymnasts. After the success of Dipa Karmakar last year at the Olympics, the scale should move upward with better performances and more exposure for the gymnasts competing at the international stage. The Indian men's team led by Rakesh Kumar Patra fought hard but did not come home with medals this championships.
